IEM makes high-performance apron feeders capable of handling abrasive bulk materials like coal, sand, gravel, metals, and ores. Our apron feeders are designed to withstand the impact of heavy materials falling from a height, which makes them well-suited for mining/quarrying operations.
IEM’s apron feeders allow the feeding of hot materials and sharp, lumpy bulk matter at controlled rates. We offer apron feeders of varying lengths, which are designed to allow control over feed rate and thereby prevent excessive surge loads on equipment such as belt conveyors and crushers.
IEM offers the widest range of apron feeders for use in heavy-duty installations. Our apron feeders can be installed under a hopper or bin, and they support dumping by truck, bulldozer, shovel and dragline. We build apron feeders with large-diameter head shafts and tail shafts with sealed, dust-resistant roller bearings for both the head and tail shaft. Additionally, our apron feeders have fabricated support frames that give strength to the overall construction, and they are mounted on a sturdy carriage made out of heavy-duty crawlers, tractor rollers and chains.
Owing to their rugged design and high-quality components, IEM’s apron feeders require very little maintenance even under heavy use. Designed for operational efficiency, IEM’s apron feeders have reversing capability for ease of unblocking the hopper. Additionally, for safety and protection, they have nip point guards running down the sides and tail.
